Do you love bikes? Can you build, PDI and repair e-bikes and scooters? Perhaps you are already working for an E-Bike or Scooter manufacturer or a Bike store repairing e-scooters or bikes (ideally electric)? Maybe you do this in your spare time but would love to do this as a job? On a day to day basis you will be identifying faults as well as servicing and repairing e-scooters. Attention to detail, the ability to work autonomously and a passion for what you do is a must! Our client is one of Britain's leading provider for e-scooter and e-bike rental schemes and are in need of a mechanic for their Gloucester operation, initially on a 6 month contract. They are an organisation with a passion around the need for sustainable, convenient and affordable travel that also allows for social distancing.
What you will be doing:
·Daily repairs to e-scooters, with a fleet of 200+ this could be 5 to 8 e-scooters a day
·Keeping the warehouse and workplace a clean and safe environment for all.
·Quality and Safety control, identifying and assessing e-scooters for wear and tear and other damage.
·Support and working collaboratively with a team of like-minded enthusiasts
To be successful in this role you will:
● be working or have worked for an E-Bike/Scooter manufacturer or independent Bike Store to repair e-scooters or bikes (ideally electric bikes).
● be able to work outdoors working in a fast-paced environment.
● have a good level of computer skills to enable use of basic Excel and Inventory Management systems.
● Be flexible and adaptable and open to learning new skills.
● Be a great communicator and work well with others in a team in a collaborative way
This role might also suit if you have a mechanical engineering or electrical engineering background with a passion for micromobility or have previous experience in a micromobility or transport role.
Experience repairing battery/controller/motor/BMS related issues in other motor vehicles, a Cytech accreditation though not essential would be a real bonus.
In return our client will offer:
·A salary of £25,000 to £26,000 per annum dependent on experience

This role is offered on an initial 6 month fixed term contract but is likely to lead to a permanent role as the e-bike/scooters popularity continues to grow, the contract for their renewal in the area will too!
