Our client are looking for a Communications, PR and Marketing Manager to enhance their Marketing department as part of a job share. This opportunity offers a huge amount of variety but is likely to have a focal point on the PR and Communications element of the FTE role.
You will be working alongside your counter part to set and deliver a communications strategy across all channels including media, print, digital and public engagement. This will include managing content for the website, social media channels and news letters.
You will be responsible for writing press releases, handling all media interest and act as a "Brand Guardian" to ensure consistency across all communications. The company work with an external PR Consultant so you will become the main point of contact and the ability to develop an excellent working relationship with this partner is essential.
You will need to be incredibly flexible as whilst this post can offer set hours, sometimes the press will need an urgent response and that could fall outside of your standard hours!
The ideal candidate will be proactive, tenacious and solution orientated, with the ability to prioritise their workload. We need a consummate professional who can work under pressure, to tight deadlines, can juggle tasks and thrive in this non-stop environment, all without flapping!
We are looking for candidates who are media trained with a proven track record in a communications post previously and who can demonstrate excellent writing and editing skills.
This role is available immediately on an 18 hours per week contract, working Thursday and Friday with the final 4 hours to be agreed to incorporate a handover. Initially this role will be 3 to 4 month contract with a view to becoming a permanent post and with the potential for hours to increase.
