We are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer for our client based in Cheltenham. This role is an ongoing temporary post to cover long term sickness and will be for 30 hours per week.
You MUST have housing experience, knowledge within housing law, understand different tenancies and license conditions and be able to perform in the role autonomously. It is also essential that you hold a current DBS as you will be working with vulnerable people.
This role is based in Cheltenham however you may be required to travel to sites as far as the south of Gloucestershire, so a driving license is essential and own transport is essential; all travel expenses will be paid.
The main duties of the role will be:
·Ensuring that rental payments have been administered and advising of any changes
·Carrying out assessment interviews for tenancy properties
·Managing breaches of tenancy/leasehold agreements
·Keeping records and writing reports
·Completing financial spreadsheets
·Sending out rent statements
·Ensuring that the tenant is maintaining a safe and secure environment at home
·Liaising with Housing associations in relation to changes in License/Tenancy Agreements
·Ensure the Housing management tracking log is up to date
·Arrange and oversee sign ups, including the completion of Housing Benefit application and associated follow-up
