We are currently recruiting for a Systems Engineer for our client based in Cricklade. We are looking for someone who will support engineering for existing products and processes but who can also develop and deliver the technology for new products and processes for the next generation of equipment.
The main duties of this role will be:
·Modifying, customising and debugging C++ software under the guidance of the team leader.
·Developing new software and migrating the software to other development systems.
·Overseeing, coordinating and directing projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
·Reporting monthly on adherence to cost, schedule and specification plans.
·Contributing to the preparation of annual budget plans, schedule expenditures, and ensuring that the engineering projects meets their quotas and goals.
·Monitoring the progress of work, proactively identify bottlenecks and problems to ensure swift resolution.
·Developing and implementing policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department.Ensuring consistency in the understanding and application of said processes.
·To lead and organise Engineering Meetings, ensuring that experience and knowledge is shared to the benefit of all staff involved and that actions arising from meetings are clearly understood and followed up.
It is essential that all applications received must be able to demonstrate experience of:
·C++ software and real time software development.
·Applying coding to machine control systems.
·Windows 10 internal.
·Hardware interfacing hardware abstraction layer.
·Network communication & OPC awareness.
·Image analysis and image processing would be an advantage.
·C++ builder would be an advantage.
·Servo motor control would be an advantage.
·A background in the design & manufacture of technical products for a global market.
·Supporting (designing, calibrating, testing, trouble shooting) electro-mechanical products in the factory build and in the field.
·How they have worked hands on the factory floor and in customer facilities.
·Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills in software and electrical systems.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, motivated to succeed, competitive and will always find a way to say 'yes' and have a minimum of bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
