Head of Business Development and Fundraising.
Full-time 35 hours per week
We are thrilled to be working exclusively with a local charity who are supporting the efforts of the NHS at this vital time. The work they do is essential to ensuring patients continue to get the very best care they possibly can so there could not be a more critical time to join this organisation.
The role is a senior management post and you will be responsible for the development, monitoring and motivating of a small team who whilst they do not need micromanagement, will look up to you for guidance.
The main function of the role is to lead the strategy and direction of business development and fundraising activities and you will be responsible for ensuring the income and revenue streams deliver. You will be required to act as an ambassador of the charity in everything you do; we are looking for someone who is going to embody the charities ethos and who will keep the charity at the heart of all of the decisions that are made.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
·Developing a comprehensive pipeline of income generation activities (showing % growth), KPIs and metrics / measure and underpin this pipeline with a remedial activity plan
·Generating revenue and capital income through a fundraising pipeline
Finding and establishing new fundraising streams and further develop existing ones
·Using the fundraising element of the marketing cycle to generate leads and turning them into donations
·Managing and developing a calendar of charity events to encourage fundraising and charity support
·Leading and developing the fundraising team, motivating them to ensure they meet their individual and collective potential
·Leading the project for a trading arm in the future if viable
·Leading the organisation expertise on business development and fundraising
The ideal candidate will have significant experience within the third sector of developing fundraising strategies across a variety of income streams, be used to managing and motivating a team and be comfortable with being strategic as well as getting stuck in and delivering as part of the team themselves. This is not a role for an events organiser as the charity already has someone insitu who is incredibly capable in this capacity.
This role is based in Gloucestershire, but will include regular travel across the country and overnight stays so it is essential that you are able to drive. It will also include working outside normal office hours and weekends as necessary.
We are aware that this is a very exciting opportunity and whilst it may be tempting to contact the charity directly, we are asking everyone politely not to as they are very busy delivering their services and they do not have the capacity to deal with your enquiry. Your application will not be processed unless it is received through us.
We are looking forward to receiving your application and discussing this opportunity with you in full detail so please don't delay in emailing Abi a copy of your CV, ideally in a MS Word format.
